(NTNU) publish a scientific paper at
PLOS One showing functional implication of XPA and PCNA
in Nucleotide Excision Repair (NER) mechanisms associated with the replisome. The publication provides
validation of the APIM motif, a newly identified AlkB homolog 2 PCNA interacting
motif mediating interactions of a large number of proteins involved in
DNA repair, cell cycle control and apoptosis with PCNA upon stress. A

APIM Therapeutics announced today that Sarsia Seed, a Norwegian seed stage life science fund, has invested NOK 3.5 million (€ 440.000) in APIM Therapeutics. The company, a spin-out from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), is developing novel peptide drugs which have the potential to improve clinical outcomes achieved with a large group of existing first line chemotherapeutics.
